I was inspired by Koloman Moser's pattern designs (on top) and interested in creating a balanced positive&negative pattern. By using circles strategically, I create a sense of balance between negative and positive space based on organic shapes, leading the viewer's gaze to a subtle dance of discovery.

I cut out modules of the linocut print and print them out by hand and color sections. This course was taken during covid when I studied and finished everything from home with limited access to art materials. The columns below showcase the design in digital ( left) and handmade prints (right).

The reflection from the ink enhances the depth of prints.
