Collaboration with Victoria Goodisman and Micharl k. Yirenkyi, who are from architecture department, we designed a spatial textile piece that brings people a threshold moment as they enter the space. Hung at eye level, the piece is designed to block the vision as people walk under it, leaving the rest of body exposed and vulnerable. In contrast to a divider piece that provides privacy by hiding objects behind, this piece examines the dynamic in between the observer and being observed.
